Beautiful 1 owner 2006 Ford Escape Hybrid with clean California title and clean Carfax report in hand. With age, the car has gotten noisy inside. Vehicle looks and runs great. During that time owners can be comforted in knowing they're doing more than their part to reduce air pollution and consumption of fossil fuels. The Escape offers comfortable seating for four and plenty of space for stuff. It demands little, if any, additional effort or knowledge from the driver. I need a car that was comfortable to drive, had decent pickup and was utility enough to get me to the mountains or the beach.
That's the same as my midsize 6 cylinder Maxima. Its smooth ride and agile handling make for enjoyable driving, and its compact dimensions make it easy to maneuver and park when you get there. The gas mileage is pretty good for highways. It is matched to either a five-speed manual transmission or a four-speed automatic. Not good at all, in my humble opinion, for a vehicle this size.
I didn't have any problems when I drove it in the snow and was able to get up some hills that other cars weren't able to handle. The rest of the kilometers were in the city 25 percent , in heavy traffic 25 percent , and in the suburbs 0 percent. Start saving fuel today and don't waste. This is in addition to the fuel savings. Walking into the Ford dealership I had my eye on the SportsTrack, but the Escape better suited my needs and budget, so I went with it.
Many people are pleasantly surprised to learn that hybrid vehicles such as the Escape never have to be plugged into any sort of electrical outlet. It was my friends and I go-to on any trip. In side-impact crash tests, it received five stars for both front- and rear-seat occupants. Should get more mileage out of a six. There are great in the snow and mud. Decent acceleration and better mileage make it a good option for budget-minded buyers. Plus, its emissions are much lower.

It was significantly revised for 2005, which brought a new face, a brightened interior, a new 2. I got 33+ no problem. It's also not very comfortable when driving more than a few hours. It is roomy, solid feeling, and handles well. . But, the mileage is great at 24 mpg, mixed driving.
The car taught me how to drive more efficiently. Gas mileage is pretty good at 28 mpg on the highway. The Escape Hybrid is one of the cleanest, most fuel-efficient vehicles in its class see separate review and driving one is easy and enjoyable, very little different from a regular Escape. The Escape handles like a car and is easy to maneuver. There is a price premium that must be paid for equipping a car with hybrid technology, but there also are federal tax benefits, and sometimes state and local tax benefits, available to help offset that price. Glad to see Ford still makes a stick shift as well - makes drivng so much more fun.
Wind noise is minimal, though there is way too much driveline noise for a front wheel drive vehicle. I am getting 34-35+ in the summer months now.
