Carefully resoldered with no stress. Bearing the Conn serial number 16, this historic hand-burnished, gold-plated saxophone is also elaborately engraved, typical of custom-made period Conns. With a compass ranging from low B-flat to high F, this high-pitched sax survives in remarkable condition. Techinician Terry Staten took out all of the dents, put the bell back into round, straightened the rim, reinforced the cracks with a lower temperature silver solder, and reattached the bell to the body along with some general playing condition work.
